My fridge freezer doesn’t have a filter cartridge at present, how do I add one?
We sell a special kit containing everything you need to fit a filter to your fridge, please contact us with the make of fridge so we an ensure you receive all the correct fittings etc. Naturally your fridge must be of a type which is connected to the mains water supply.

Why do I have to change my filter cartridge?
Refrigerator filter cartridges need to be changed on a regular basis to ensure the water dispensed from the fridge remains clean and wholesome. Filters that have exceeded their stay can harbour bacteria and other undesirable contaminants. Even though most bacteria found in water supplies is not harmful, it is undesirable. Changing the filter on time gives peace of mind and maintains the quality of water you expect.

What does my filter remove?
Filter models vary, but a typical fridge filter is designed to reduce particulate contaminants like dirt, silt, sand and rust particles. Also reducing organic chemical contaminants such as traces of pesticide and herbicide residue and chlorine. The result should be clean, clear fresh tasting water which is at least as good as bottled water – but at a fraction of the cost and much more convenient.

How easy will it be to fit my new cartridge?
Most people are pleasantly surprised how easy changing their filter really is. Please follow the instructions for a quick and simple filter change. If you get stuck, please contact us and we’ll talk you through the process.

I've changed my filter but the filter change warning light is still on.
Many fridges have a warning light which illuminates at the required interval. This needs to be re-set at the time of changing the filter – instructions for this are often included with the instructions. The light is usually re-set by pressing a combination of buttons on the front of the fridge. Please contact us if you have any difficulty.

Can you send someone to fit the filter for me?
We don't offer a fitting service, but we’re happy to give as much information as required by phone if you're not very confident about doing it yourself. The exception to this is for customer within Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and East Yorkshire to whom we recommend the services of our sister company, Greens Water Systems (www.water-systems.co..uk). They can both supply and fit your cartridge at reasonable rates.

Do you offer any other spares for refrigerators or other domestic appliances?
Sorry, we're strictly a filter cartridge distributor. We wouldn’t want our expertise to be diluted by diversifying into products with which we aren't familiar.
